Earn credit for previous coursework and life experience—and save money and time.
The School of Adult and Graduate Education (SAGE) at Cedar Crest College offers the most generous transfer credit policies in the Lehigh Valley. While you will need to complete at least 30 credits at Cedar Crest College in order to earn a bachelor’s degree, our generous transfer credits policies are designed to allow adult students to make the most of what they have already learned—and, in the process, save thousands of dollars and a considerable amount of valuable time.
For example, SAGE offers college credits for coursework completed at many other institutions—regardless of when it was completed—as well as experience gained on the job or in the military. Just look at what we offer to you:
We guarantee that you will not be required to take any additional general education courses if you have earned any ONE of the following:
This policy applies regardless of when you completed your credits or earned your degree. It also applies to any regionally accredited institution anywhere in the United States. The policy does not apply to Applied Associate degrees.
We guarantee that you will be able to transfer:
This policy applies to courses in which you have earned a grade of “C” or better, regardless of when you completed the course. It also applies to any regionally accredited institution anywhere in the United States.
Please note that to receive this credit, the Registrar’s Office will need to perform an official credit evaluation of your official college transcripts. In certain cases, you also may be asked to provide a course description or a course syllabus.
You’ve learned plenty in your life—on the job, through your volunteer work, and by simply learning on your own. Once you have enrolled at Cedar Crest, you may be eligible to earn:
To earn experiential learning credits, you will be asked to assemble a portfolio demonstrating that you have acquired college-level knowledge of an academic subject. To apply, you also will need to have earned at least 9 credits at Cedar Crest with a GPA of 2.5 or better.
Please ask a SAGE admissions counselor for more details about this opportunity to earn credits for what you have learned over the course of your lifetime.
