Master’s Thesis Research Program

Students will select their thesis topic, mentor, and thesis committee during FSC 500 (Thesis Prospectus) during the spring semester of their first year. Research begins during the summer between the first and second year and can be performed on campus or at an external laboratory (requires prior approval from the program director). Students are expected to give a research seminar as part of FSC 504 (Graduate Seminar) and to complete the writing of their thesis during the second year.
