Job Title: Chemical, Physical, & Forensic Sciences- Adjunct Faculty

The Department of Chemical, Physical, & Forensic Sciences at Cedar Crest College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Introductory Chemistry laboratory courses (all taught on campus, in person) in the upcoming Spring 2024 semester.

Adjunct faculty should have a minimum of a master's degree in Chemistry, or a closely related field, and experience teaching at the undergraduate college level is strongly preferred. Job Title: Assistant Professor Public Health

Job Title: Half-Time Spanish Faculty

The faculty member will contribute to a newly redesigned interdisciplinary Global Studies major, as well as a stand-alone Spanish minor. Job Title: Doctorate of Nursing Practice - Nurse Anesthesia Program (CRNA)
Part Time Faculty

Cedar Crest College is accepting applications for two part-time Nurse Anesthesia Faculty in the School of Nursing (SON) to assist with the routine operations of our Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in the Nurse Anesthesia Program. Our growing NAP program boasts excellent clinical sites at the region’s premier healthcare systems. A multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art Nursing Simulation Center provides realistic practice settings such as critical-care patient rooms, a preoperative assessment room, and a functional operating room for student learning.

The selected candidates will help support the program in maintaining compliance with the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia educational programs and guidelines. The faculty members will help provide classroom and online teaching, simulation clinical instruction, student advising and supervision of doctoral scholarly projects for our BSN-DNP NAP students. Other duties include:

  1. Develop and deliver instructional content for the education of nurse anesthesia students, during both the didactic and clinical (simulation) portions of assigned courses; maintain clinical practice. 
  2. Utilize evaluation tools and processes to assign grades to students for didactic course and for evaluation of satisfactory participation and performance on clinical simulation activities 
  3. Evaluate and assess current educational needs of students and participate in the revision of curriculum as needed in conjunction with Program Administrators for your assigned courses 
  4. Provide written formative and summative evaluations of each student’s didactic performance at the end of each semester and forward to the Program Administrators.
  5. Assist with the development of and participate in delivery of didactic material via interactive hybrid coursework for nurse anesthesia students at the CCC SON. 
  6. Maintain an open line of communication with the Program Administrators in matters concerning didactic progression of the anesthesia students. 
  7. Maintain open and timely communication with students.  
  8. Attend all required safety training programs and be able to describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazards, and national patient safety goals concerning students, faculty, visitors in the SON and the college at large.

The successful candidates will have an earned doctorate degree and possess active certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with demonstrated skills in nurse anesthesia education and clinical practice. Print Shop responsibilities include:
Completes printed work, color and black and white copying, and binding processes for the College community. Responsible for evaluating and estimating printing, duplicating, typesetting and copier job requirements; the operation and maintenance of all printing services equipment and machinery.

Mailroom responsibilities include:
Picks up, receives, and delivers U.S. and campus mail, parcels and packages based on knowledge of physical layout of the campus and established delivery routing schedule. Work is performed under the direction of the Manager of Printing and Postal Services and is subject to standard policies, schedules and procedures, including U.S. Postal Regulations.

  1. Assists with a monthly report of all departmental printing and duplicating usage which includes work orders, typesetting, bills, paper supplies and copier counts. Assists with periodic and year-end inventory on all supplies and paper stock.
  2. Performs varied hand and machine operation to assemble and bind books, pamphlets, pads and other printed materials. Performs all types of finishing work such as cutting, collating, stapling, folding, padding and GBC binding and punching either manually or by machine. Binds printed materials with stitches, glue, staples, plastic bindings or tape using standard binding equipment. Checks assembled product for printing errors and sequence of pages. Sorts, counts and packages printed materials.
  3. Operates black and white and color copiers to reproduce single or multiple copies of printed, typewritten or other machine acceptable originals. Prepares masters from substandard originals to maintain quality standards for copies produced. Copies materials for administrators, faculty, staff, and students, and maintains utilization records. Charges students using swipe card/flex dollars.

Job Title: Institutional Data Analyst

Cedar Crest College is seeking an Institutional Data Analyst to support the Crest to Career project and expand the College’s data infrastructure. The Institutional Data Analyst (IDA) will be primarily responsible for supporting the data collection, access, and analysis needs of the Crest to Career project. The IDA will help the Crest to Career project team determine its data needs, identify and implement a data analytics platform to support these needs and serve as the data lead for the project. In addition, the IDA will support the overall development of a data infrastructure for the College that supports accurate and timely decision-making relative to student success and enrollment management and improves the collection and transparency of data relative to student outcomes. The Crest to Career project is a 5-year project supported by a federal Title III Strengthening Institutions Program grant. In the first two years of the project (AY23/24 and AY 24/25), the position will be fully dedicated to supporting the Crest to Career project. In subsequent years, the position focus will adjust, with incrementally less time focused on the project and more time working on other projects to expand the College’s data infrastructure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct a data needs assessment for the Crest to Career project; lead the RFP and selection committee through the process of evaluating and recommending a platform to meet these needs

2. Work directly with the selected platform and key stakeholders to implement the data analytics platform

3. Maintain the data analytics platform, providing user support and training, and coordinating the ongoing development of new reports or dashboards

4. Coordinate the development of additional predictive retention analytics with Jenzabar 5. Collaborate with the Crest to Career project team and other College partners to improve access to accurate and timely data regarding student outcomes

6. Collaborate with Crest to Career project team and other College partners to improve access to accurate and timely data that support decision-making relative to enrollment and fiscal management

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

1. Education and Training a. Required: bachelor’s degree in data analytics, data science, statistics, computer science, or related field b. At least two years of experience developing or supporting data analytics tools

2. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities a. Demonstrated experience in project management; experience with needs assessments and using findings to develop data analytics tools is preferred b. Strong knowledge of data management and governance principles c. Technical skills in data reporting tools; experience with PowerBI is preferred d. Job Title: Administrative Assistant Biological Sciences, Chemical, Physical, and Forensic Sciences

The Administrative Assistant is the primary secretarial and administrative support person for the departments and assists in all of the daily processes; supporting the department chair, faculty, and students with services appropriate to the department function. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the efficient operation of the department, performing secretarial, clerical, and administrative duties under the general supervision of the Department Chairs. Job Title: Full Time Aquatic Specialist

The Rodale Aquatic Center (RAC) at Cedar Crest College is seeking a qualified full time aquatic specialist to instruct aquatic fitness classes, assist athletes, teach swim lessons, maintain lifeguard schedules, and assist with general office functions. Job Title: Graduate Assistant Positions (2) – NASA-Funded TOWERS Program

Two graduate assistant positions at Cedar Crest College are available for the 2023-2024 academic year to assist in the data collection for a NASA-funded research program titled “Tackling Obstacles for Women’s Engagement and Retention in STEM (TOWERS).” The graduate assistants will report to and work collaboratively with Dr. Lindsey Welch and Dr. Audrey Ettinger, who are the principal investigator and co-principal investigator, respectively, of this award. Graduate assistants will be tasked with designing and implementing surveys, collecting and organizing historical and ongoing institutional data, conducting research with focus groups of current students and alumnae, and leveraging social media to support the goals of this research. Candidates for this position should hold a bachelor’s degree, be enrolled as a current graduate student at Cedar Crest College or elsewhere, be self-motivated with the ability to work independently, and have strong organizational and communication skills. Part time

Cedar Crest College is seeking a part-time tutor for mathematics. Reporting to the Director of Academic Services and Student Success and operating in the Student Success Center, the Professional Tutor for mathematics provides individual and group tutoring services for students enrolled in courses or programs requiring competency in math.
