International Ambassadors

International Ambassadors Program Overview

The Cedar Crest International Ambassador Program is a volunteer peer advising opportunity for students who are currently abroad or have recently returned from an international education experience.

Being an International Advisor offers a unique leadership opportunity to share your abroad experiences and to encourage other students to discover the amazing experience that study abroad is. Participation in the program is tailored towards your skills in order to communicate your passion about study abroad effectively. You can do that in any way you think you can, including writing guest blog posts, mentoring, answering questions from prospective students via email, volunteering at events and information sessions. You will also be featured on the website so students can contact you with questions.

Time Commitment & Responsibilities

Students commit to a minimum of 1 semester, during or after their experience abroad. In order to be an International Ambassador, students need to participate in 3 of the activities listed below.

Opportunities include

  • Study abroad blogging from overseas.
  • Volunteering at annual events such as: Global Initiatives Office “Meet & Greet,” Annual Study Abroad Fair, Study Abroad Re-entry events
  • Promoting Cedar Crest study abroad at info sessions, Open House events, and through social media
