Child Welfare Certificate

Do you want to work with children and adolescents in a variety of settings? You’re in good company: Child welfare is one of the oldest fields of practice, and today there is an ever-increasing demand for dedicated, qualified workers to enter child welfare settings.

The social work department at Cedar Crest College currently offers a 16-credit child welfare certificate designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to work with this very special population. In particular, this certificate is designed to educate students for specialized training in the child welfare system. This certificate combines courses from the fields of social work, criminal justice and psychology to achieve this goal.
