The arts administration concentration is interdisciplinary. Combined with a major in dance or theatre and courses from business, students prepare for leadership roles in arts planning and management.
Students will, through course work, close mentorship with faculty and arts internships, develop a knowledge base and skills preparing them to navigate the administrative aspects of arts organizations .
Arts administrators work in federal, state and community arts agencies, as well as in the promotion of arts education programs.
The mission of the concentration is to advance the goals of the college by providing a program directly focused on leadership while supporting the core values of the institution- liberal arts and creativity.
For more details on this concentration, contact Professor Kevin Gallagher, Advisor at kpgallag@cedarcrest.edu.
