Today more than ever, the criminal justice system has come to depend on the work of forensic scientists in determining the guilt or innocence of people suspected of committing a crime. As a graduate of one of our forensic science programs, you will have the knowledge, leadership and communication skills, and the professional connections you need to succeed in today’s highly competitive job market or to continue your studies.

With a degree in forensic science from one of our programs, you may:

  • Work as a forensic scientist in a federal, state, or local laboratory, including such agencies as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration and New York City Police Department.
  • Work in the private sector as a scientist in a laboratory in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, medical research or other science-related industries
  • Attend a graduate program in forensic science (if you have taken the forensic science concentration) such as the one available at Cedar Crest College (More than 50 percent of our undergraduates go on to pursue graduate studies.)
